Personal Reflection
I think Buddhism is not a religion. Those familiar with Buddhist scriptures should find that the Buddha never set up a religion named "Buddhism", claimed to be a god, nor asked for worship. After his Nirvana, disagreements within the Sangha led King Ashoka to cooperate with certain factions and establish Buddhism as a formal system.
我認為佛教並非宗教。熟悉佛經內容的人應該發現，佛陀從未創立過以「佛教」為名的宗教，從未自稱是神，更未要求弟子和民眾崇拜他。佛陀涅槃後，僧伽內部出現分歧，阿育王與部分派系合作，創立了佛教。

Conclusion
Whether Buddhism is a religion depends on how you define religion. If religion means belief in a god and divine revelation, then Buddhism doesn’t fit. But if religion includes spiritual practice, moral guidance, and community, then Buddhism certainly qualifies.
佛教是否是一種宗教，取決於你如何定義宗教。如果宗教意味著對神靈和神啟的信仰，那麼佛教就不符合。但如果宗教包含精神修行、道德指導和社群，那麼佛教無疑符合。
